BCVI Logo ColorThe Belize Council for the Visually Impaired (BCVI) is a non-profit organization, which aims to improve the life of the Belizean population by maintaining the maximum visual capacity of all its citizens. This is addressed by the eye care component of a comprehensive eye service. Rehabilitation and education of people with visual impairment, to enable them to make full use of their talents & abilities, is also to be included in this comprehensive service that strives to be affordable & accessible to all.

The year 2011, was one of reflection and review as we realised that the funding environment is changing and therefore, so must we, in terms of how we plan on being sustainable. With a dedicated staff and support from our fellow Belizeans as well as those overseas, whether it be our visiting doctors, volunteers or donors, we can move mountains. Focus and devotion to our work and the people we serve will keep us on track to providing a great service to the people of Belize.
